It is time to look back to which concerts and festivals I shot in 2025. I ended up with 12 festivals and all together 276 concerts from these festivals and from different venues. Here are the first batch of photos from the first half of the year. I have chosen the ones I like the most, not necessarily from the comcerts I liked the most. After most of January in Spain, my concert photography started more seriously in February with Carly Pierce, followed by Elles Bailey and Loreen

Every year since 1997 I have travelled to Austin, Texas to attend SXSW. So also this u´year but before I left, I photographed TOTO in Oslo

In Austin I was invited to Robert Rodriguez’ party at his studio locations by ny good frind and Robert’s brother, Patricia Vonne. Of course I also saw Patricia at her yearly show with great female Mexicana artists at the Continental Club.

Another good Austin tradition is Ray Benson’s Birthday party, with lots of prominent artists as guests. This year Hayes Carll, Jimmie vaughan and Steve Earle were among them.

One of this year’s music keynotes at the SXSW was Tom Morello interviewing John Fogerty.

Another good experience was the Jones’ Family and Leeann Atherton at Soul Sunday at Alan Berg’s house in North Austin.

I saw a lot of concerts during my stay in Austin, and I always love seeing Rosie Flores. This time she was doing jazz standards with a jazz band at C-Boys on South Cogress. And I went down to New Brunswick to interview Guy Forsyth for the Norwegian Bluesnews magazine at Gruene Hall .

I have several other artists that I have to see when I am in Austin. Carolyn Wonderland is one, Patrice Pike another, Andrea Magee yet another, and I must always visit Donn’s Depot, this time to see Kevin Russel from Shinyribs. And I got to see Brannen Temple and Red Young at the Elephant Room.

Back in Oslo I saw Astrid S at Oslo Spektrum before going back to Spain for some warm weather.

In May I did several concerts, and here are photos from two of them – The Lumineers and Natasha Bedingfield.

June is always my first heavy festival month. It starts in Trindheim with two seccessive festivals, Trondheim Rocks and Neon. Among the artists I saw at Trondheim Rcks, were Halestorm, Battle Beast and Iron Maiden.

Neon is a typical pop festival, and the concerts I liked the most, were Benjamin Ingrosso, Ary, Molly Sandén and the headliner, Imagine Dragons.

From Trondheim I travelled to Bergen for the yearly Bergenfest. Here I saw Lee Fields, Confidence Man, Michelle Ullestad and Aurora plus several other bands and artists.

After Bergenfest, I attended OverOslo at the pictoresque Grefsenkollen, with a view over Oslo. I photographed several concerts here, too, and here are Gabrielle, M2M, Nile Rodgers and CHIC, Maria Mena and Bertine Zetlitz.

My late June festival every year is Tons of Rock in Oslo. It is a assive festival, four days and four stages. I managed to photograph 26 bands, and here are a selection: Black Debbath, Dream Theater, Turbonegro, Sex Pistols with Frank Carter, Djerv, Hurra Toredo, Dimmu Borgir, Exodus, Kaizers Orchestra, Megadeth, Cocktail Slippers and Machine Head.
