Three years ago one of the most talked about artists at the Oya festival in Oslo were Florence And the Machine. This year the band played the biggest stage at the festival, and the band had no problems justifying this. A big crowd saw them through their set, and they had a great time.
Florence and The Machine have a musical style that is built around Florence Welch’s dramatic voice. Their debut CD, Lungs, was awarded Best Album of the Year at the Brit Awards in 2012, and they were Critic’s Choice the year before. Visually everything is centered around Florence, and her performance is always worth looking at.
