OK. So here is the first batch of my personal favorite photos from 2014, from Audrey Horne to Morudes. I might have loved the concert, or not, but I liked the visual performance and thought I managed to capture it on camera, too. Some of these bands and artists are well known, and some aren’t. What is the value of a concert photo?

There are many problems in concert photography today. One is the ubiquitous photo contracts, specially the right grabbers. Another problem is all the editors, web sites and bands who expect photographers to just give away their photos for free. Why is photos supposed to be free, while the same people expect us to pay for music and magazines? (Above: Rafael Saadiq at the SXSW – are there too many concert photographers?)

Norwegian Metal – exhibition in Lausanne

I will exhibit 16 of my photos of Norwegian metal bands in connection with the Inferno festival in Lausanne Switzerland, March 8-10th. The festival is held at Les Docks, and the pictures will be exhibited at the same venue. All the pictures will be offered for sale.
