In February this year I saw Satyricon with the National Opera Choir performing To The Mountains at Norway’s National Opera House. The performance was part of a conference arranged by the Opera and the Olympiatoppen, an organisation set up to train Norwegian elite sport.
The happening was a one-off, but hopefully we will see more of the colaberation between Satyricon and the Opera Choir. They performed well together and the choir added to Satyricons black metal sound. To The Mountain was released on Now Diabolical in 2006.
Here are some pictures from the show. You can see more pictures of Satyricon on my picture site, Artist Pictures.

Enjoy it.
THanks Karlblack. i wasn’t sure about the intellectual property rights here, therefore I didn’t want to post it.
Absolutely love these pics, and the story associated. I was telling another chef at work how their music is so close to classical that its scary. Then i saw this, kinda gave me back to my argument.
Thanks a lot. I really love photographing Satyricon, and this event was a special event.
