This year’s Månefestivalen was my third in a row, and like last year, it was a hot happening. Beautiful weather, sun, hot, a perfect recipe for a successful festival. The festival had a mix of national and local artists, plus Wyclef Jean as the headliner on Saturday. And on Thursday, the building society OBOS sponsored a special day with four artiists and where the proceeds are donated to a local cause. (Photo above: Wyclef Jean)
One of the best signs that Christmas is coming up, is the amount of concerts that are held from the end of November to Christmas eve. You have the typical Christmas concerts, where two or three artists go together to present a repertoire of known Christmas songs and carols, plus some of their own hits. Then there are artists and bands that have regular concerts in December every year. BigBang is one of these bands, and yesterday they held their pre-Christmas concert at Sentrum Scene in Oslo.
If you have never seen Bigbang live before, you have definitely missed out on one of Norway’s best live bands. Last night they played at Oslo Spektrum to an audience of almost 5000. They delivered a performance with all the ingredients you expect, plus some more – great songs, great playing, interesting guests, high jumps and a stage dive with guitar.
