Bruce Springsteen seems to like playing in Norway, since he has been here a lot of time through his career. And the Norwegian people definitely loves him. All his concerts the last years have sold out in minutes or hours. This summer he has played one concert in Oslo in June, and then a concert in Trondheim two days ago and one in Oslo tonight, for a total of 100.000 fans. I saw the first three songs of his concert in Oslo tonight.
Here are my 15 best concert experiences during 2013. My criteria are both that I like the concert as such, but also the visual part of it and how I was able to photograph them. Everyone know about Bruce Springsteen, and his songs are well known throughout the western world. He has also toured extensively with his E Street Band, so many have also seen him live. Last night Bruce Springsteen played the Telenor Arena in Oslo with his band. For five months they have played with Tom Morello instead of Little Steven, since he has been busy filming the second season of the TV series Lillyhammer. What I saw during the three first songs we were allowed to photograph told me this would be a top Springsteen concert. Here are some pictures from the concert.
Everyone present at Alejandro Escovedo’s concert at the end of the Austin Music Awards during SXSW got a pleasant surprise when he told the audience that “we need another guitarist in the band”. That extra guitarist was none other than Bruce Springsteen. Continue reading
