Trondheim Calling 2017

death-by-unga-bunga-04022017-09Last year was my first vist to the showcase festival Trondheim Calling. I liked it so much that I decided to come back this year. The festival took place this weekend in Trondheim, and it has grown to be a good alternative to, or to compliment the Norwegian big brother of showcase festivals, by:Larm. Three days with seminars, debates, concerts and networking means long and intense days, but the quality of everything made it definitely worth while. The Oya Festival 2015 – Wednesday with Chic, The War On Drugs, Enslaved, At The Gates and many more

The headliner on the big stage was Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, while In Flames closed in the tent stage, Sirkus. Before that, there was music on 6 stages for 9 hours, from 2 until 11 PM. In Memory of Per Eirik Johansen

Per Eirik Johansen was one of them, but one year ago, on January 15, he died of a heart attack while sleeping, only 54 years old. On Thursday this week his family and several of the artists he worked with held a memorial concert for Per Eirik, celebrating his great influence on the Norwegian popular music scene at the Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo.
