The second day of the Steinkjer Festival had Timbuktu & Damn as headliner on the big stage, and Highasakite and Black Debbath at the tent stage. But before them many good artists and band played. I had special pleasure hearing Maria Mena, Skambankt, The South and Highasakite again. (Picture above: Timbuktu)
I have written about Ida Jenshus before, so this will not be a word-heavy blog. She played the Steinkjer Festival last weekend, as the first act on the Saturday. The interesting thing is that Ida comes from Steinkjer, and with her success the last few years, one would expect the locals to come running to see her.
On Thursday this year’s Steinkjer Festival starts again with a night of local artists, before Friday comes with twelve concerts, and Saturday with eighteen including the day program. This will be my fifth festival in Steinkjer, and I am sure it will be just as good as the other ones. Here are some of the artists who are performing this year. I will of course come back with some new pictures after the festival. (Above: Ida Jenshus)
Next weekend Steinkjerfestivalen (The Steinkjer Festival) is arranged in the mid-Norway city of Steinkjer. This year they have Behemoth, Kaizers Orchestra, Susanne Sundfør and D.D.E. as some of the headliners, plus some really interestiong other bands like El Doom and The Born Electric, The South, Hedvig Mollestad Trio and Mongo Ninja.
Here are pictures of some of the artists from last year.
