Satyricon have been on tour in Europe and South America for the last two months, and at last they are back in Norway with eight gigs in different cities. Yesterday they played at Sentrum Scene in Oslo, and late January they start on a new two month tour in Europe. The tour is coordinated with the release of their latest album, Deep calleth upon Deep.
The word intimate and TNT in the same sentence might be considered a contradiction in terms. Last night TNT held a full concert for 100-150 people in a small restaurant/club at the outskirts of Oslo. The setting was both grand and intimate, and the lucky ones got a one hour concert with one of the big rock bands from the 80’s.
Audrey Horne is one of my favorite live bands. They are great musicians, they have a charismatic singer and they have good songs. The band’s latest CD, Youngblood, has got great reviews in the Norwegian newspapers, and that’s well deserved. Yesterday they played at Rockefeller in Oslo, at the same concert as Black Debbath.
The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, is on a road with what was supposed to be a Black Sabbath tour. But Tony Iommi’s illness prevented this, and instead Ozzy invited some friends to join him on the tour. In Oslo we were allowed to photograph him with two of them, Slash and Zakk Wylde. Here are pictures from the concert at Oslo Spektrum.
