This year’s Tons of Rock was my sixth time, and the first time at a new location. The former five years the festival has been held at Fredriksten festning in Halden, but from this year it will be held at Ekeberg in Oslo. There are always plusses and minuses t moving a festival – for Tons of Rock they lost a spectacular location, but have won a much higher capacity. And everything worked just fine during the three days the festival lasted.

Satyricon at Sentrum Scene in Oslo
Satyricon have been on tour in Europe and South America for the last two months, and at last they are back in Norway with eight gigs in different cities. Yesterday they played at Sentrum Scene in Oslo, and late January they start on a new two month tour in Europe. The tour is coordinated with the release of their latest album, Deep calleth upon Deep.
An Intimate Night With TNT
The word intimate and TNT in the same sentence might be considered a contradiction in terms. Last night TNT held a full concert for 100-150 people in a small restaurant/club at the outskirts of Oslo. Audrey Horne – Norwegian hard rock at it’s best
Audrey Horne is one of my favorite live bands. They are great musicians, they have a charismatic singer and they have good songs. The band’s latest CD, Youngblood, has got great reviews in the Norwegian newspapers, and that’s well deserved. Yesterday they played at Rockefeller in Oslo, at the same concert as Black Debbath.
Ozzy Osbourne with friends
The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, is on a road with what was supposed to be a Black Sabbath tour. But Tony Iommi’s illness prevented this, and instead Ozzy invited some friends to join him on the tour. In Oslo we were allowed to photograph him with two of them, Slash and Zakk Wylde. Here are pictures from the concert at Oslo Spektrum.
